The datagathered affirm the high effectiveness of the Grammar-Translation Method in building foreign language writing competences among HEI students. This result is attributed to the universality of the method, emphasizing work with text and its grammatical features. Abstract

The aim of the article is to investigate the impact of the Grammar-Translation Method, an approach prioritizing translation and grammatical understanding in language learning, on the development of foreign language writing competence among students studying English in higher education institutions (HEIs).
