Measurements have been carried out on freely corroding zinc or on zinc galvanically coupled with iron, also in conditions of polarity reversal of the couple.</p><p>Experimental techniques such as photopotential measurements and X-ray diffraction have been applied. Abstract
The characteristics of surface products formed on zinc in slightly alkaline aqueous solutions have been studied. Measurements have been carried out on freely corroding zinc or on zinc galvanically coupled with iron, also in conditions of polarity reversal of the couple.
