The selection of blade material is also the influencing parameter to improve the starting torque of the rotor. Abstract

The helical Savonius rotor (HSR) is used as green energy generation. The accurate design of HSR is essential before installing any wind farm in a region. It has been widely employed that positive static torque coefficients of helical Savonius rotor are higher compared to conventional semicircular rotor stated by several researchers.
