Abstract

The different solvent extracts of pongamia pinnata flower (Family: Sapindaceae) were tested for anti-diabetic activity using alloxan induced diabetic rats and compared with standard. The results expressed that aqueous extracts had shown significant protection and maximum reduction in blood glucose was observed in alloxan induced diabetic rats (p<0.001). The results of this comprehensive study reveals that pongamia pinnata flower shown statistically significant Anti-Diabetic activity in comparison to the standard glibenclamide.
桄榔子花提取物对四氧嘧啶诱导的糖尿病大鼠的抗糖尿病活性。
