Abstract

A comparative assessment of citations based on additional bibliometric indicators and related to the excess of citations beyond that required for a given h -index is presented. The analysis was based on data from publications and the ranking in the category of scientific careers (“World’s TOP2% Most Influenced Scientists List”) published in 2022; two additional indicators were introduced: g and h g . Numerous examples of the desirability and legitimacy of such an analysis for scientists from various scientific disciplines are given.
