Abstract
The purpose of the study is to reveal the essential characteristics of the "cognitive components" of the personality of students of physical culture institutes. The article deals with the process of revealing the necessity and significance of descriptors that reveal the essence, structure and informational characteristics of cognitive components in the professional training of students of the Institute of Physical Culture.
