Anne Boykin Institute for the Advancement of Caring in Nursing: Reflections on the First 10 Years

Abstract

The Anne Boykin Institute for the Advancement of Caring in Nursing (ABI) was established as part of Florida Atlantic University's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing in 2011. The purpose of this article is to reflect on the accomplishments of the Institute in the past 10 years. The work of the ABI is to be a global catalyst for promoting the universal visibility and significance of caring in nursing. The ABI's history is chronicled with attention to the special publications and resources that can be useful to those working to advance Caring Science in nursing practice, research and education.
