Abstract
In this paper a new drive control strategy for matrix converters is presented that lowers significantly the harmful common mode voltage. The advanced control method is based on the Direct Torque Control scheme. It is applied exemplarily in this paper by use of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine.
