Abstract

Methods of counting and sizing Aitken nuclei are described and their application to pressurized gas-cooled reactors discussed. It is concluded that the most satisfactory instrument at present available for determining concentrations of Aitken nuclei in reactors is the Nolan-Pollak counter.
