Abstract
Technology, in general, is present in various segments of our lives, in the same way that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a reality in the daily lives of most people. Even if they don't realize it or don't remember, it is a daily part of our lives. Good examples of this are the voice assistants found on smartphones - Siri, on Apple, and Google Assistant, on Android devices, the use of Waze, Netflix, Facebook, access to banking services, among others. Artificial Intelligence is proof of this, where it is possible to develop mechanisms and devices that reproduce different human capacities, such as thinking, speaking and problem solving, being a reality in the health and medicine areas. It is able to provide numerous benefits to hospitals and clinics to accelerate the transformation of the healthcare sector. Other benefits and uses of AI are: improved patient care and the efficiency of various processes, greater accuracy of diagnoses, optimization of data storage, providing a broad database for early diagnosis, agile software and electronic medical records, better resources in the treatment of cancer, offering numerous benefits, such as aiding in radiological diagnoses, in the treatment and prevention of different diseases, in addition to the development and use of many intelligent solutions, thus enabling the emergence of more accurate, faster and more automated solutions, decreasing the workload of physicians and health workers, and facilitating the daily routine.
