Abstract
Disseminated seronegative echinococcosis, occurring with damage to soft tissues, bones and joints, is a rare variant of the course of helminthiasis, often associated with diagnostic difficulties, a high probability of complications and difficult treatment.
This article presents a case of disseminated seronegative echinococcosis, clinically and laboratory simulating a severe form of WeberChristian panniculitis complicated by sepsis. The advantages and disadvantages of serological and morphological studies in the verification of disseminated echinococcosis are discussed, as well as the feasibility of using repeated histological studies in cases of echinococcosis under the masks of rheumatic diseases.
