Abstract

Development of many innovative areas in energy, mechanical engineering, aircraft building and other industries is limited by the strength of materials under the action of temperature gradients. In this regard, the problem appears to find and justify technical means to model a complex of operating conditions. High-current relativistic electron beams reasonably belong to such instruments and means. As a result of their impact, pulsed electric and magnetic fields occur in the irradiated targets, temperature gradients are created, and shock waves are generated.
