Abstract

Este artigo analisa a presença (e ausência) das representações femininas no códice Lienzo de Tlaxcala em sua narrativa visual da Conquista de México-Tenochtitlán. Para isso, selecionou-se algumas lâminas do documento, a fim de analisar a maneira como as mulheres foram retratadas e como esse silêncio a respeito do feminino aponta para o enfoque dado pela historiografia, e não para um vazio documental, tampouco para uma ausência no processo histórico. Assim, este artigo buscará contribuir na escrita de uma narrativa mais plural e que leve em conta a diversidade étnica, política, social e de gênero presente durante esse processo

期刊介绍： The Journal of the Center for the History of Society and Culture is an annual scientific journal written in Portuguese. Its articles are subjected to a preliminary assessment carried out by an external arbitration committee. This journal was founded in 2001 with the main goal of publicizing the historical studies developed within the scope of the Center for the History of Society and Culture, an R&D unit registered with the Foundation for Science and Technology. The journal accepts articles from full researchers and collaborators of the Center for the History of Society and Culture, as well as from any other historians from outside this institution.
