Plasma von Willebrand factor levels between migraine attacks

Abstract

AbstractVon Willebrand factor (vWF) is produced in vascular endothelium where it is also released. It contributes to platelet aggregation and adhesion. We aimed to compare the vWF level in attack intervals of migraine patients with that of a control group. We measured the plasma vWF level in 25 patients and 25 healthy controls and we found no meaningful difference between the patients and the control group.
