Abstract
250-750 nm radio luminescence of pure yttrium oxide nano-powder and ceramics was experimentally studied by exposing to 60 keVX-ray irradiation at room temperature. The ceramics were sintered in air atmosphere at different temperatures $1300-1500^{\circ}C$. We focused attention on the influence of powder compaction and sintering temperature on the luminescence spectra. It was showed that the spectra had an identical structure and consisted of one broad band 250-450 nm and 4 series of narrow bands. The origin of some series was identified.
