Abstract
Quarter-Hourly generation scheduling of hydropower systems (QHGSHS) is a typical nonlinear optimization problem to maximum the total peaking capacity benefits while simultaneously meeting the grid requirements and other hydraulic and electrical constraints. In this paper, to realize the coordination of hydropower stations and power grids, the minimum variance of residual load series which are obtained by subtracting hydropower generation from the original forcasting load of each power grid, is used as the optimization objective of QHGSHS problem. On this basis, considering the complementary features among multiple power grids, the adaptive differential bee colony optimization algorithm (ADBCO) with heuristic constraints repairing strategies is proposed to optimize the power allocation of the hydropower stations in Central China with the constraints such as electrical power transmission proportion, power balance of hydropower stations and power transmission limit of HVDC transmission line considered. The simulation results show that, the generation plan obtained by proposed method can balance response to the demands of multiple grids, and the proposed method also reveals strong practicability.
