Abstract

The paper deals with control principles and controller design of a nonlinear hydraulic plant, as well as development of new methods of its control. The designed control is implemented through a graphical user interface developed in Matlab/Simulink; the application can run either locally (as a simulation) or over Internet as a virtual or remote laboratory (with a real experiment). The hydraulic plant can be configured as a one-or a two-tank system, and the selected configuration is controlled using either feedback or feedforward-feedback control.
