Abstract
We propose a new scheme for ultrasensitive micro-scale ring laser gyroscopes based on the physics of exceptional points. In judiciously de signed non-Hermitian systems, the frequency s plitting becomes proportional to the square root of the gyration speed, thus enhancing the sensitivity to low rotation by orders of magnitudes.
