Salah satu dampak pandemi Covid-19 bagi dunia pendidikan adalah terhambatnya proses kegiatan belajar-mengajar. Semua institusi pendidikan harus melaksanakan pembelajaran secara dalam jaringan (daring). Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat memberikan pengaruh yang sangat besar di dunia, hingga ke setiap aspek kehidupan manusia termasuk di bidang pendidikan. Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat ini memberikan kemudahan bagi para siswa untuk belajar secara mandiri, dengan menggunakan bahan belajar tertulis dan melalui komputer, smartphone dan internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai pemanfaatan aplikasi Google Classroom sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran online di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode studi pustaka atau telaah pustaka dari berbagai sumber yang relevan dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian mendukung bahwa aplikasi Google Classroom dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pembelajaran online. Hal ini dikarenakan Google Classroom berbasis internet, bisa dibuat ruang kelas di dunia maya atau kelas online yang berarti siswa tidak perlu datang ke sekolah. Selain itu aplikasi Google Classroom dapat menghemat biaya, waktu, dan lebih fleksibel.AbstractThe Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the world of education. This study aims to provide information about using the Google Classroom application as an alternative to online learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta. Collecting data using the literature study method or literature review from various relevant sources and interviews. The results of the study support that the Google Classroom application can be used as an alternative to online learning. This is because Google Classroom is internet-based. Classrooms can be created in cyberspace or online, meaning students do not need to come to school. Abstract
