While both books are clearly works of personal passion – White Supremacy Confronted is a book that Horne has been building toward his entire life – for the reader, more often than not, less is more. Regardless, Horne’s work is an important contribution, exploring the myriad ways in which communism and anti-communism became entangled in the long struggle for liberation in southern Africa.
