Se sustenta en las teorias y enfoques epistemologicos de autores como Valhondo, Vertice, Nort y Rivas, Nonaka y Takeuchi. El tipo de investigacion es descriptiva, de campo, cuya poblacion estuvo conformada por 107 sujetos. Se ejecuto a traves de la tecnica de la encuesta, haciendo uso de un cuestionario al cual se le realizo la confiabilidad por Alpha de Cronbach. Este arrojo un valor de 0,98, considerado un nivel alto. Los resultados se confrontaron a partir de las dimensiones e indicadores estudiados. Asimismo, se concluyo que la institucion objeto de estudio debe desarrollar mecanismos para la construccion de escenarios propositivos para la generacion de conocimiento que se sumen a las cadenas de valor de la organizacion. Ademas, se recomienda reforzar el uso del conocimiento en todo su personal, para que se gestione de manera integral un aumento en el volumen de la generacion de conocimiento organizacional. EnglishThis research shows the levels of organizational knowledge management in higher education institutions in Santa Marta, Colombia. It is based on the theories and epistemological approaches of authors such as: Valhondo, Vertice, Nort and Rivas, Nonaka and Takeuchi. The type of research is descriptive and field, whose population was made up of 107 subjects. It was executed through the technique of the survey using a questionnaire which was carried out the reliability by Cronbach's Alpha throwing a value of 0.98, considered high. The results were confronted based on the dimensions and indicators studied. Likewise, it was concluded that the institution under study must develop mechanisms for the construction of propositional scenarios that generate knowledge, this added to the value chains of the organization.
