Abstract
Objective: to identify scientific evidence about the assistance of the multidisciplinary team in the prevention of obstetric violence. Method: integrative review through the following research question: how should the multidisciplinary team assist in preventing obstetric violence? Data collection took place in February and March 2023, in the databases: BVS and PUBMED, using the descriptors: “multidisciplinary team” “obstetric violence”, “labor”, with the Boolean operator “AND”. Inclusion criteria were: original research articles, complete articles in English and Portuguese, published from 2018 to 2022 and that addressed the theme of obstetric violence. Exclusion criteria were: summaries of events, dissertations, theses and articles that were repeated in more than one database, being counted only once. Results: This study gathered 31 articles for a thorough investigation, and 5 articles fit the proposed criteria. Some professionals reported not knowing the term obstetric violence and others reported that they are behaviors practiced without scientific basis, inappropriate attitudes, such as abuse of power, decisions without the woman's consent. Conclusions: The multidisciplinary team's assistance should be humanized and welcoming, facing obstetric violence through discussions on the subject.
