Abstract

Schiff bases, such as nitrofurantoin or nifuroxazide, are commonly applied in medicine as antibacterial agents. They are well known for their biological application as antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiHIV, anti-protozoal, anti-cancer agents.
