Surgery for AF is also an effective rhythm control therapy and should be considered in patients undergoing cardiac surgery or in those with failed catheter ablation. For patients undergoing AF catheter ablation, performing ablation under uninterrupted warfarin or non-vitamin K oral anticoagulant treatment is recommended for periprocedural stroke risk management. Abstract
