Abstract

The adsorption of Lead (II) from aqueous solution by chitosan-g-maleic anhydride-g-methacrylic acidcopolymer was investigated in fixed- bed column.The continuous adsorption varying the effect of flow rates, bed height and concentration and breakthrough curves was evaluated and it was also analyzed by dynamics models namely, Boharts and Adam, Thomas and Yoon and Nelson models at different conditions.The breakthrough data fitted well to Thomas and Yoon Nelson models with high correlation coefficient, R 2 is 0.9835.
