Abstract

An anatomical study of a new stereotaxic approach to the gyrus hippocampi was done because of the disadvantages of the usual approach, which limited the extent of the Iesion and the destruction technique in its structures. The approach from the occipital burr-hole allows one to introduce the electrode an average of 23° to the basic CA-CP line and 30° to the midline into the longitudinal axis of the gyrus hippocampi.
