THE IMAGE OF THE FAR EASTERN REPUBLIC IN THE NEWEST RUSSIAN HISTORIOGRAPHY

Abstract

. The article discusses the process of constructing the image of the Far Eastern Republic based on the analysis of historiographical sources. The paper demonstrates the main features of this image that were formed in the Soviet and modern historical science, analyses factors of their formation. The results show a significant expansion of the topic of the Far Eastern Republic. stand its internal structure, the elements of people's everyday reality. The constructed image of the Far Eastern Republic becomes more multifaceted and complex. Abstract. The article reviews historical fates of Cossack women in far eastern emigration. Cossack women did housework, set up homes, brought up and educated children, represented interests of their husbands, participated in social affairs of the forces. They also handed down historical memo-ry of the Cossacks to younger generations. In emigration Cossacks women were busy at many jobs, but, as a rule, they earned less than men. Adapting intensively to new living conditions, they contin-ued to bring up their children in Cossack-style.
