Abstract

: Ingeneral,theattitudeofahigh-speedplanningboatchangesfollowingaspeedchange.Sincethehydrodynamicforcesacting onashipdifferaccordingtothechangeofitsunderwatershape,itisdifficulttoestimateitshydrodynamicforcecomparedtothatof alargecommercialship.Inthispaper,6DegreesOfFreedom(DOF)equationsofmotionthatexpressthemaneuveringmotionofa planningboataremodeledbyanalyzingitsmotioncharacteristicsbasedonvariousseatrialtests.Finally,amaneuveringsimulationis carriedoutandavalidationoftheequationsofmotionisconfirmedwiththeresultsofseatrialtests.
