Abstract

Protocols for the successful isolation and culture of Trifolium rubens protoplasts derived from leaf tissue and cell suspension cultures have been developed. High plating efficiencies were obtained with both sources of protoplasts. Whole plant regeneration from cultured protoplasts was achieved via somatic embryogenesis.
