Abstract
: A new helicoBODIPY (bisBODIPY with helical chirality) with nitro groups at the chiral bridge has been synthesized as a model to study the influence of the at-bridge substitution on the photophysics and chiroptics of the helicoBODIPY. This preliminary study reveals that at-bridge substitution can be a strategy for the development of chiroptical sensors based on helicoBODIPYs.
