Abstract

How is it done? The first studies were conducted by performing treatment sessions every week for the first month.1-3 Saceda-Corralo and colleagues first reported the efficacy of three treatment sessions spaced three months apart injecting 1ml of a solution containing dutasteride 0.01% (Mesotherapy Worldwide Australia).4 Because pain is the most frequent side effect reported in the largest retrospective study so far (45.5% out of 541 patients), a ring block using local anesthetic is recommended before performing the procedure.5
