Abstract

As global commerce, new markets, and a more diverse supply chain took shape in the latter half of the twentieth century, many facets of the shipping sector were altered. Worldwide supply chains and freight systems are intertwined with the global marine transport system. Many transport systems are coupled to accomplish the aim because of the complexity of the marine transportation system (MTS). MTS and its interaction with other modes of transportation are being studied using system dynamics (SD). We began by looking at SD application letters on MTS as part of the study’s first step. After conducting a literature study, our findings give an overview of SD modeling on MTS and propose new research topics.
