The extracts were screened for the phytochemical constituents using standard procedure. The anti-oxidant activity of ethanol and aqueous extract fractions from the leaf of papaya were evaluated and ethanol extract showed the strong DPPH activity, Nitric oxide radical scavenging assay, Ferric Reducing/Antioxidant Power (FRAP) Assay and Hydrogen Peroxide Scavenging Activity (H2O2). The leaves of papaya and these compounds might be used as natural antioxidants. Abstract
