The results indicate that the factors that \ndrive foreign investment have a differential impact on FDI flows \nto Pakistan. Specifically, human and physical capitals, capital re \n- \nturn, infrastructure development, terms of trade and urbanization \npromote FDI in Pakistan. Foreign debt and inflation lead to de \n- \nteriorating foreign investment in the country. Another important \nfinding is that the effect of trade liberalization on FDI has been \naugmented after the inception of a flexible exchange rate system in \nPakistan.
