Abstract

Within the linear Gurtin(cid:21)Murdoch model of surface elasticity we consider the antiplane deformations in an elastic matrix with an rigid cylindrical (cid:28)ber subjected by external force. In(cid:29)uence of an surface elastic moduli on the stress distribution and the adhesion force is analyzed.
