Through the analysis of the natural lightning strikes in the region, the effect of the existing lightning protection facilities is evaluated. Given the lightning protection measures of 10kV distribution lines in the region, the composite lightning protection measures such as adding overhead lightning conductor, adding multi-chamber lightning arrester, and repairing grounding grid resistance are proposed to improve. The working principle and improvement effect of each measure are expounded. After implementing various measures, the lightning conditions and tripping data of a quarter are analyzed and compared. The results show that the comprehensive lightning protection measures effectively reduce the tripping caused by lightning. Abstract
