MICHAŁ CHOPTIANY University of Warsaw KASJAN SAKOWICZ’S 1642 “DYJALOG” („DIALOGUE”) AS A PRINTED BOOK AND A MANUSCRIPT SEVENTEENTH-CENTURY CALENDRICAL ARGUMENTS AND CIRCULATION OF IDEAS IN THE OLD POLISH CULTURE This paper is aimed at examining a mid-seventeenth century manuscript copy of Kasjan Sakowicz’s Dyjalog (Dialogue), published twice in 1642, being a satirical writing aimed at ridiculing the backwardness and stubbornness of the Uniate Church with regard to the acknowledgment of the Gregorian calendar.
