Abstract

Transformer is the key equipment in power system. Moisture is an important factor affecting its insulation performance, which will have a great impact on the electrical and mechanical life of the transformer. Because of good performance of water absorption, zeolite 3A and 4A are most widely used in liquid drying. In this paper, water absorption capacity in transformer oil with zeolite 3A and 4A from two manufacturers are tested, absorption effect is compared. And dielectric properties of oil after moisture adsorption is tested. The results show that the water absorption of zeolite 4A is better than that of zeolite 3A, and the introduction of zeolite A will increase the breakdown voltage of oil.
