Abstract:The group leader's unrecognized and undeveloped self-absorption can have potentially harmful effects on the group and on some group members. Just as with a diagnosed narcissistic personality disorder, the person is not aware of his or her behaviors and attitudes and their possible impact on others. Presented also is an example for a leader's self-reflective process that can assist to mitigate some negative and potentially harmful effects on others.
