Abstract
A mine clearing machine, which is the solution subject of this article, is a mobile machine intended for a detection of mines in a terrain. The machine is able to move in the rugged terrain due to a wheel-tracked chassis, which can be modified to be purely wheeled in order to drive on roads. The objective of this article is the modification of this wheel-tracked chassis, because the current stage of this chassis meets problems consists in formation of cracks in its steel track. The design modification of the chassis goes from structural analyses of the original design of the chassis. There were carried out strength calculations of the original one to find out, in which location of the track and which values stresses are reached. Analyses have served as a basis for the design of a tension mechanism. Two variants of the tension mechanism were developed. Both variants of the mechanism are analysed from the strength point of view in order to identify the distribution of stresses in the structure.A mine clearing machine, which is the solution subject of this article, is a mobile machine intended for a detection of mines in a terrain. Analyses have served as a basis for the design of a tension mechanism. Two variants of the tension mechanism were developed. Both variants of the mechanism are analysed from the strength point of view in order to identify the distribution of stresses in the structure.
