The designed test device provides to perform the mentioned carpet performance tests and measurements with a solo test device. Abstract

In this study, an innovative test device was designed to perform the prolonged static loading, brief static loading, compression and recovery tests and carpet thickness measurement automatically and on five specimens simultaneously. The automation system of the device was designed and a prototype was manufactured. The functionality of the test device was controlled by providing the verification of thickness and load measurements on prototype.
