Abstract

Chirped pulse compression is achieved in transmit modes with wideband antennas, such as log periodic dipole arrays (LPDA), where the matched filters are the antennas. In this paper, a modulation technique is described which compresses ultra wideband (UWB) signals on conventional LPDAs.
