Proportionate stratified sampling technique was used in selecting nursing students. Prior to implementing structured teaching programme the nursing students had moderate knowledge, attitude and practice, whereas after implementation of structured teaching programme nursing students’ knowledge and ability to perform breast self-examination was significantly improved with difference of mean percentage revealing effectiveness of structured teaching programme. Abstract
