Abstract

DC/DC converter, as a Power Processing Unit (PPU), is utilized in the solar controller in order to adjust the required input (PV panel) to the outputs: battery and load. This paper is a contribution to a perfect description of a PWM buck converter used in a PV controller to efficiently control the energy flow in a standalone PV system. The block diagram and detailed electrical schematic of the proposed controller are described. The different parts of the power board are discussed.
