The phase purity of as grown crystal was verified by single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction methods. This paper is focused on the optical properties of as grown LAPI crystal. For that we have studied the optical transparency and dielectric nature of the grown crystals by UV–vis–NIR spectrum. Second harmonic generation (SHG) efficiency of the LAPI crystal was investiagted by Kurtz-Perry technique using Q-switched Nd: YAG laser.
