A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted among 50 mothers and children attending IPD and OPD of Paediatric Department of Baby Memorial Hospital, Kozhikode; the samples were selected using purposive sampling technique. The results of the study revealed that that majority (70%) of mothers were having mild phubbing and 88 percent of the subjects exhibited closeness in the relationship with their child.
