Abstract

The reaction of a series of readily available extended terpyridyl and extended triazine ligands with several d6-metal centres has been investigated. This has led to the isolation and characterisation of nine new complexes, one of which is the first reported transition metal complex to contain the 2,4,6-tris(2-pyrimidyl)-1,3,5-triazine (tpymt) ligand.
