Abstract
We propose a mode switch with fast switching speed based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer formed in lithium niobate waveguide. Theoretical analysis is presented and influence of waveguide parameters on the performances of the switch is discussed. The results show that the device can realize the two-mode conversion by applying driving voltage lower than 10 V with wide bandwidth.
