This review focuses on the applications and the advances made in the mesoporous silica to broaden the spectrum of its use especially in the field of medicine. Abstract

The recent advances in the drug delivery system using a variety of technological platforms have resulted in innovation in the attitude towards diagnosis and therapeutics alike in the present times. Mesoporous Silica possesses favourable chemical properties, thermal stability, and biocompatibility.
