Abstract

This work aimed to characterize the typical elements used in masonry made in the city of Cuenca (Ecuador) and said characterization was related to the property called compressive strength (UCS). These pieces are made in artisan factories for a long time and maintain a routine using materials and methodology. Its use is widespread. The elements referred to are adobe, brick, concrete, or cement block.
